The minister who attracted a lot of attention from the pavilion guests and staff arrived at around 4 PM and was welcomed by the pavilion staff spearheaded by the Chief protocol officer; Dr.Mumtaz Kassam ( who is also the Deputy Ambassador of Uganda to Italy), the Deputy Commissioner General; Her excellency Grace Akello (who is also the Ambassador of Uganda to Italy) and the pavilion director; Molly Kibuuka. He amazed the crowd when he offered to serve Uganda coffee to our guests which included Hon. Saul Kgomosto Molobi; the Consul-General of South Africa in Milan. It was such a historical moment at the pavilion as large numbers of guests flocked in to have the honourable minister at their service! Nodding in content, our guests said,'che buono'. Thanks to Uganda Coffee Development Authority in partnership with Cafe' Motta [one of the biggest buyers of Uganda coffee]. Cafe' Motta roasted, packed Uganda coffee and provided the coffee machines.

Mr. Ssempijja later proceeded to Coldiretti Pavilion, which is a foundation that merges the farming interests of consumers, citizens and farmers. He was the guest of honour that day and gave a remarkable speech. He discussed drip irrigation which is free, effective and rational. It also allows farms to optimise their water use, improving revenue for producers and increasing the competitiveness of their products on the market. What a way to feed the planet!
